Eligibility Criteria
High School (Class 10th)
- Students who failed in up to 2 subjects in the main examination.
- Passed students who want to improve their grades in one subject (Improvement exam).
Intermediate (Class 12th)
- Students who failed in exactly one subject (from science, commerce or arts stream).
- If a candidate failed in two or more subjects, they are not eligible to apply.
How to Fill UP Board Compartment Form (Step-by-Step)
- Visit the official board portal: upmsp.edu.in.
- Scroll down to look for the active link: "Compartment/Improvement Application Form 2026".
- Log in by choosing your class and typing your board Roll Number.
- Select the subject you want to appear for re-examination.
- Pay the application fee online using UPI, Net banking, or Card gateways.
- Submit the application and download the printed confirmation receipt.
- Submit a copy of the printed confirmation along with required documentation to your school.

What is the last date to apply for the UP Board Compartment Form 2026?
The last date to submit the compartment exam form is June 27, 2026. The online application started on June 6, 2026.
When will the Compartment Exam be held?
The exams are expected to be conducted in the last week of July 2026 (tentatively July 19, 2026). The exact timetable will be published by UPMSP shortly.
Am I eligible for Compartment if I failed in two subjects in Class 12?
No. Class 12 (Intermediate) students can only apply for a compartment exam if they failed in exactly one subject. If you failed in two or more subjects, you are not eligible.
What is the fee for the Compartment application?
The application fee is set officially by the board (usually ranges between ₹250 to ₹500). Please login to upmsp.edu.in to view the correct fee for this cycle.
Can I apply for both Scrutiny and Compartment?
Yes. You can apply for scrutiny to re-verify totaling errors in your exam papers and simultaneously apply for the compartment exam as a backup.
